If you join the mailing list, your email address and a record of your subscription are collected. If you use the contact form, your name, your email address, and whatever you write are collected. Squarespace also processes basic technical and usage information needed to operate the site and provide analytics, such as pages visited, approximate location, browser or device information, and IP address.

The mailing-list address is used for one thing: an email when new work is published. Contact-form messages are used to read and reply to you, and may be retained as a record of the correspondence. Analytics provide a general picture of how the site is visited.

This site is hosted by Squarespace. Mailing-list subscriptions are stored in Squarespace’s mailing-list and contact systems. Contact-form messages are sent to and stored in Google Workspace. Squarespace processes the messages while delivering them and may also store them if its form-submission storage is enabled. These services handle information under their own privacy and data-processing terms.

Mailing-list details are kept until you unsubscribe or ask for them to be deleted. Contact messages are kept for as long as they remain useful for correspondence or record-keeping. Old messages are reviewed from time to time and deleted when they are no longer needed. You may ask for a message to be deleted at any time, unless there is a legal reason it must be retained.

Your personal information is never sold. It is shared only with Squarespace and Google where needed to operate the website, mailing list, contact form, and email, or where disclosure is required by law.

Every mailing-list email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also write to hello@alessandrocagliesi.com at any time to ask what information is held about you, or to have it corrected or deleted.
